Isopropyl alcohol First aid cream Bacitracin Bactine Chloroseptic spray Anti itch lotion Vaseline Oragel Peroxide Vinyl gloves (*) generic equivalent may be substituted Medication Policy: Please review the Stafford County Public Schools medication policy in your Code of Conduct booklet and on school fusion on the school nurse web page under clinic links. Any medication (including over the counter medications) must have a physician’s prescription on file in the clinic updated each school year on the Request for Medication/Treatment During School Hours form. This form and all other medication and care plan forms can be accessed and downloaded from the school nurse page on the school fusion website. Reminder: Viruses and bacterial infections are contagious. If your child is sick the night before or in the morning, please do not send them to “try to make it through the day.” Most of the time they won’t make it and they expose their classmates and teachers to the illness. Your child should stay home if they have had these symptoms within the last 24 hours: Fever over 100 Vomiting and/or diarrhea (with or without fever) Swollen or painful joints from injury Severe earache Suspected contagious diseases (until on treatment for 24048 hours) • Chicken pox • Conjunctivitis (pink eye) • Pediculosis (head lice) • Scabies Injury or illness requiring further immediate treatment Suspected substance abuse |
